    The CHALLENGE
    Opel Automotive challenged 3DEXCITE to bring the new Mokka closer to consumers by showcasing elements of the new vehicle’s technological leadership with flair. The brand wanted an easily accessible augmented reality (AR) 3DEXPERIENCE for its two largest social media platforms – Facebook & Instagram.


    The 3DEXCITE SOLUTION
    The ask was to introduce the new Mokka on the social platforms with an AR filter, allowing users to place a life-sized, photoreal representation of the vehicle wherever they desired; to snap it, add filters, emojis & stickers and share with the world. Using the proprietary Spark AR platform from Facebook as an authoring tool, we converted the 3D Master Model into a tiny package with loads of fun.


    The RESULT
    This AR filter 3DEXPERIENCE represents the first in many planned with more features & storytelling elements to be added in future versions paving the way for even more in-depth audience engagement. It has never been easier to bring great 3D realtime experiences to the masses, and the Mokka AR filter successfully proves that 3DEXCITE is perpetually innovating and pushing the envelope for innovative brands.

    The CHALLENGE
    With the goal of accessibility for everyone, Citroën introduced the Ami. Its styling is hip, modern and cutting edge – a clear shout-out to today’s non-conformists. Needing a solution that could grant consumers a genuine connection to this 100% electric vehicle, Citroën turned to 3DEXCITE for their unparalleled expertise in real-time solutions.

     

    The 3DEXCITE SOLUTION
    Using Citroën’s popular hashtag of #LibertyElectriCityMobility as a launchpad for inspiration, 3DEXCITE got to work to create the most engaging and intuitive e-commerce vehicle configuration solution out there. In a 1st for Groupe PSA, a real-time car model would be used, that would allow visitors to configure the vehicle to their liking in a personalized web environment.

     

    The RESULT
    Great partnerships produce incredible products, and the same can be said for this PSA / 3DEXCITE collaboration. The final experience is responsive and mobile-friendly, giving consumers the ease of customization they crave. Changing colors and options is a snap, as well as transitioning from exterior to interior views of the car. This online experience, with its bold expansion of the customer journey, builds upon Citroën’s goal, of providing “a new vision of urban mobility”.

    Insightful Dealership Experiences

    The CHALLENGE
    Opel goes ELECTRIC. The automotive brand debuted its first foray into the zero-emissions vehicle landscape with the all-electric Corsa-e and the Grandland X Plug-In Hybrid. The reveal of these two vehicles at the 68th International Motor Show in Frankfurt demanded a memorable marketing experience. Opel aimed to showcase dealership innovations for both prospective and existing customers. The focus entailed strengthening after-sales potential by demonstrating and explaining new features with leading-edge technology.


    The 3DEXCITE SOLUTION
    We created an AR app that allows users to view the electrical componentry of the Corsa-e and Grandland X, by taking a virtual ‘peek under the hood’ using an augmented, x-ray feature. By holding a tablet, with the camera facing the vehicle, a transparent view of the car appears on-screen. The app reveals the drivetrain and batteries. Through virtual hotspots, customers can learn about the technological features by selecting a given hotspot to highlight the details. Another activation triggers an animation that illustrates energy flow between the parts of the electric drivetrain, providing an up-close and personal experience with the car.


    The RESULT
    Attendees at the International Motor show were engaged by this Opel experience that took them beyond the showroom and directly into the vehicles. The AR app gave visitors a detailed, virtual tour of the Corsa-e and Grandland X in a new and exciting way. Providing bespoke engagements that promote brand loyalty, and elevate awareness and understanding is at the heart of 3DEXCITE’s mission. IAA was the perfect event to make Opel’s electric achievement understood by the world, and we were proud to play an augmented part of it.

    TOYOTA Land Cruiser Movies

    The CHALLENGE
    The Toyota Land Cruiser is known for quality, durability, performance, luxury and comfort. As one of the brand’s classic models, Toyota Motor Europe wanted a dedicated movie to promote the new Land Cruiser’s real-world capabilities, reinforce its heritage and highlight multiple features.
    3DEXCITE accepted the challenge. In order to achieve desired results, we leaned on a collaborative approach with the client, the creative agency and the 3DEXCITE product specialists to clearly define the scope of the project.


    The SOLUTION
    Using an integrated, multi-disciplinary team approach, 3DEXCITE produced an engaging movie that reveals the new Land Cruiser’s capabilities and takes the viewer on an adventurous journey. By providing transparency and flexibility with regards to the available budget, our focus remained on creating a truly fantastic final product, based on physically correct CG data, that leaves the viewer wanting more.


    The RESULT
    The movie blends beautiful, natural and urban landscapes with the rugged elegance of the Land Cruiser. The vehicle maintains its photorealistic quality in every shot, thanks to our seamless ability to combine CG elements with real-world environments. Stunning shots of the vehicle’s exterior, and an X-ray view of the interior transport the viewer directly into the scene. With the interior shot featuring the functionality of the rear seats and highlighting extra cargo space, value messaging is clear. A fly-thru of the interior from rear-to-front, provides an intimate look at the steering wheel, instrument panel and interior seating. The flexibility of a CGI project inherently adds ROI almost immediately. Localization of the content for multiple Markets means that the investment is already producing efficiencies in both time and costs. Traditional shoots require more time, more money and a lot more effort.
